The Metal Recovery System (MRS) came about through years of “hands on” working with a wide variety of gold and other heavy metal collection systems where metals require separation by gravity. During the design of this system, consideration was given to almost every type of heavy metal in almost every type of base material or ore.
The MRS systems are available in production capacities of 20 cubic yards per hour up to 200 cubic yards per hour. The systems are designed and fabricated using sturdy steel construction that will stand up to multiple moves during use in the field. The systems are available in trailer or skid-mounted models.
Features of the MRS System:
The MRS System features a material feed system with gravity grizzly and  variable feed control, a screening plant with dense rubber balls installed in the second deck to assure the dissolution of heavy clay and sticky materials which enhances the recovery rate of heavy metals, particularly when small particles of heavy metals are present.
The MRS System design uses a deep troughing, rough face belt with a radial (chevron) rib pattern. The belt speed is variable via the use of a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controller. The belt runs on an incline and the angle is adjustable. Two conveyors of the same size make up one unit. The conveyor units move simultaneously in a lateral movement, each opposing the other, and the speed of the lateral movement is also variable, controlled by a VFD. A hydraulic powered cylinder located near the discharge end of the conveyor frame is used to push the entire conveyor frame up the incline, and move the conveyor frame back to its lower position, with the speed of both motions having variable speed control. Therefore, the system has the following variable controls:
    •    Digital Feed Rate Control
    •    Digital VFD Conveyor Belt Control
    •    Digital VFD Lateral Movement Speed Control
    •    Digital Repeating Timer/Flow Control for Incline Movement
    •    Adjustable Pitch or Angle
    •    Adjustable Water Flow
Heavy Metals are collected in the upper side of the belt ribs and fine particles are collected in the top of the belt and in the pinch point where the rib is attached to the belt. The collected metals are carried to the discharge hood where water spray is used to wash down the belt and ribs, collecting the heavy metals in the collection pan. Water flowing down the collection pan moves the collected metals to the Velocity Reducing/Elliptical Oscillation Heavy Metal Trap. (VREOHMT)
The VREOHMT is designed to slow down the water flow, allowing the capture of extremely fine particles. The standard unit slows down the water flow 4 times.  The elliptical Oscillation movement assures continuous washing of the heavy metals until the metals are trapped in the grid or in the collection mat. A VREOHMT is also installed at the end of each conveyor to capture and high-float heavy metals that may have escaped at the collection belt.  For security purposes, the VREOHMT is furnished with a multiple lock cover. The unit is also furnished with a spare grid and collection mat to reduce clean-up downtime.
